NeTab is a new-tab dashboard designed around a simple principle: your browser start page should be useful without sending your personal setup to a remote service.

The product

NeTab replaces the default new tab with a focused workspace for the links, widgets, and media you actually use. Groups keep the surface organized while the visual system stays quiet enough to work as a daily start page. The extension is built for Manifest V3 and keeps user settings local. That makes privacy a product behavior rather than a marketing sentence: the dashboard can be useful without requiring a hosted account or a server-side profile.

Configuration without clutter

What I learned from it

NeTab is a good example of product work where the constraint is the point. A browser extension has a small surface area, but it still needs clear state, careful storage, responsive behavior, and a visual language that remains useful every day. The project taught me to keep the experience expressive without turning a start page into another noisy dashboard.
